Your creative retreat on the coast of Maine
Welcome to my studio and garden in Orland, Maine—your creative basecamp on the coast. Nestled where Mid‑Coast meets Downeast, our property sits on Route 1 within easy reach of Acadia National Park, Blue Hill, Bangor and Belfast. Whether you’re stopping overnight or settling in for a few days, I’ve created spaces that blend comfort, art and nature.
Pull your RV into a grassy pull‑through spot shaded by old oaks. This site accommodates self‑contained RVs up to 20 ft in length; car or tent camping isn’t permitted because there’s no shared bathroom on-site. Potable well water is available via a garden hose, and a 20‑amp electric hookup can be added for a small fee—please bring a long extension cord and request electricity when booking. There’s no sewer hookup, so be prepared to manage your waste.
Guests may enjoy the picnic table and relax around the shared fire pit when conditions allow. Please supervise your pets, respect quiet hours (10 PM–7 AM) and follow any fire‑safety rules posted on arrival.
Stay inside our art‑filled RV: the interior showcases my original paintings (yours to enjoy or purchase) while offering comfortable amenities, including:
We welcome up to two guests in the basecamp RV, and we accept one dog under 20 lbs for an additional fee. Quiet hours are 10 PM–7 AM, there is no smoking indoors or on the porch, and please use only the provided toilet paper to protect the plumbing. The studio/gallery next door is open most afternoons for browsing, classes or demos.
Beyond the RV and campsite lies our expansive lawn and gardens, punctuated by vegetable beds and wildflowers. Sit under the oak trees, enjoy the birds and the coastal breeze, and feel free to explore the property respectfully. The bright red studio is both a gallery and a workspace where I create art.
Check‑in is 3:00–6:00 PM; check‑out by noon. You’ll find us at the corner of Route 1 and Powers Drive in Orland, Maine (8 Powers Drive Lane). Turn onto Powers Drive and immediately left into the first driveway; park parallel to the lane near the big oaks. I’ll greet you on arrival to show you around and share the current fire‑safety guidelines.
